URGENT: NJ to require joint protocol starting 2/16/2026
Posted 4 days ago
Dear Members,
The requirement to maintain a joint protocol with a collaborating physician was waived during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of us who work for a hospital organization or large medical groups still had to maintain an agreement due to their regulating body even though it was not mandated by the state. If you are one of the APNs who does not have one, note that executive order that waived the joint protocol is expiring on February 16, 2026.
Our state leadership and the Governor need to hear from you immediately!

The Message: "I am calling to urge the Governor and state leadership to support APNs by removing costly oversight fees. These financial barriers threaten to close local practices and leave our most vulnerable communities without essential healthcare."
