New Jersey Palliative Care APN previously recorded conference: Empowering Palliative Care Outside the Hospital Walls

Participants will apply knowledge learned to provide primary and specialty palliative care to patients in multiple settings including the outpatient office, skilled nursing facility, long term care, and home.

NASW-NJ and GOCCNJ present the Advance Care Planning Certificate Program
October 18th; 9 am – 1 pm
Self-study and live, virtual training
GOCCNJ in partnership with NASW-NJ have developed a certificate program for Social Workers who may be new to advance care planning conversations and for seasoned professionals who would like a deeper understanding of the issues. This is the only certificate ACP course in NJ! The three-part program includes: 2 CEU hours of pre-foundational reading; 4 CEU hours On-Demand videos and culminates in 4 CEU hours of live instruction for a total of 10 program hours. Faculty includes: Dr. Dave Barile, Tracy Grafton, LCSW, ACHP-SW, Dr. Marianne Holler, and Laurie Powsner, MSW, LCSW.

He will guide us through a journey with grief, reviewing the process, and manifestations of grief, emphasizing that grief is about all types of losses. Naturally there will be a focus on losses experienced through the Covid pandemic. In his presentation, Dr. Doka will explore strategies of self-care that facilitates coping and growth.
