Nurse Practitioner | Student Health Primary Care | Outpatient Locum | Flexible New

A Student Health Center in Newark, New Jersey is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for a 4-month locum assignment covering a maternity leave. This outpatient role focuses on primary care for college-aged adults (18–35) in a campus health setting.

Providers deliver comprehensive care including primary care visits, basic gynecologic services, mental health support, and inclusive LGBTQ+ care. The role requires comfort with independent triage and occasional administrative tasks within a small clinic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary care for college-aged patients

• Manage routine and acute health concerns

• Deliver basic GYN and reproductive health services

• Provide inclusive LGBTQ+ care and counseling

• Support basic mental health evaluations and care coordination

• Perform triage and maintain accurate EHR documentation

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey FNP license

• Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner

• 1–3 years primary care experience preferred

• Comfortable with GYN, LGBTQ+ health, and mental health screening

• Strong communication and patient triage skills

Schedule & Compensation

• $90–$100 per hour

• Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

• 4-month locum assignment
